Glad that I am Still Alive..

yes..i am glad tat i am still alive..this sentence may sound kinda absurd to u..may not make any sense at all to u..but if u read on, u might understand wat i meant..

when i finish bathing, it was ad 1.15am o so..was tired n sleepy..cos of the steamboat on 6th oct..din realli rest at all..so to b able to sleep asap, i need to dry my hair..thus, the hairdryer..like usual, i plug the hairdryer n on it..but this time, sth strange happen..no air came out..so i turn the hairdryer n looked at it at the back..n found out the fan was not workin..then i noticed sth..there's sth glowin inside..it started pretty small..then sudd it grew bigger..bigger n bigger..in a nice bright orangy red colour (those colour u get when heatin a metal real long)..there was smoke comin out of the hair dryer too..at first was jus normal burnt smell..then it got stronger n stronger..then it started to smell like burned plastic..

wat was i doin all this while??nothin..i jus stood there holdin the hair dryer, starin at the glow, inhalin the smoke..was kinda hypnotised by the glow (or i am either too blur n tired to react..anyway, i jus stood there frozen..as the hairdryer heats up)..somehow, my hand reacted (not sure if it was the smoke tat was suffocatin me o wat..but there was this voice in my head which kept screamin to me..but it remained mostly unheard..it kept screamin : pull tat damn plug out!!) so after God noes how long (seemed pretty long to me at tat time when i finally get the msg from tat voice in my head), my hand finally reacted by pullin the plug out w/o switchin off the electricity..my other hand reacted as well by throwin the hair dryer on the table..then my body went to full mode n jumped as far away from the hair dryer as possible (which wasnt realli far now tat i think back)

n there i stood away from the hairdryer, inhaling the damn smoke (yup, i am still inhaling tat smoke), watchin the glow (still hypnotised)..watch it n wonder will it ever stop growin..watchin the hairdryer n wonder wat will happen..wonder if it will explode (the tot of dying did flashed thru my mind briefly)..then after quite sometime, the glow seems to b static..n after i am not sure how long onli it started to reduce it's size (watever inside is definitely coolin down at a v slow rate..either tat o it mus b real hot!!)when the glow was finally gone, only i dare to go near it..switch off the electricity n touch the hairdryer..it was damn hot!!..took it by the handle n wanted to threw it in the bin in the kitchen..but in the end jus left it beside the bin cos there was some liquid in the bin n i am not sure if i threw it in will it explode o not (my imagination is great isnt it?)

when i finally return to my room only i realised three things..my room is stenched wif burnin plastic smell..n i haf been breathin in tat air n was havin some difficulty in breathin..the other thing i realised was tat the hair dryer would haf explode if i had not pull the plug off in time..o it might haf exploded sooner..o i might haf died of suffocation o from inhalin too much toxic air..

so basically i am really really glad n grateful tat i am still alive now to post this down n tat i am not disfigured o anythin..plain glad tat nothin worst happen..it could haf been worst than wat had happened..

learnt few things from this incident..tat is to bath early so i wont need a hair dryer (i dun dare to use any hairdryer anymore..hairdryer phobia..)..another thing i learnt is tat the smoke detector in jbc can only pick up false alarm..after all tat smoke comin out from the hair dryer it din went off..sigh..wonder wat the use of it when it cant detect anything (my batchmate's kitchen was on fire yest n the fire alarm din went off..kinda weird rite??when there's no fire, it kept went off..but when there's actual fire, it din detect it..kinda useless..)

it also make me realise sth..life is short n fragile..i shud realli look fwd n do wat i like n want..n stop wastin time..n worry bout unnecessary things..in short, live life to the fullest..cos u dunno when ur time is up..

so ppl out there who likes to use hairdryers..be really careful when usin them..n b alert..dun b like me..standin there like a block of wood..
